Description
After two weeks you’ll have completed your Self-Check, chosen your priority areas, and tried a set of small daily changes, while noting what happens
A Practical Guide to Support Digestion Naturally
Digestion is about much more than what you eat. How you eat, stomach acid, digestive enzymes, bile flow, bowel function, hydration, movement, stress, sleep and even the timing of your meals can all influence how well your digestive system works.
The Digestive Health Guide & Workbook is a comprehensive but accessible resource designed to help you understand your digestion, recognise your own patterns and strengthen the foundations that support healthy digestive function.
Rather than focusing on one symptom or offering a long list of remedies, this practical guide helps you connect the dots. You’ll follow the digestive journey from meal preparation and stomach function through digestion and absorption to healthy bowel function, while also exploring the important influence of nutrition, lifestyle, the nervous system and circadian rhythms.
And you don’t need to read or change everything at once. In fact, please don’t.
The workbook sections help you identify where your own digestive foundations are strong, where they may need support and which changes may be most meaningful for you.
Inside the guide

Who is this guide for?
This guide may be particularly helpful if you experience occasional bloating, reflux, constipation, diarrhoea, changes in bowel habits or discomfort after eating, or if you simply want to understand how to support your digestive health more effectively.
When this guide may not be the right fit
This guide offers general education and is not designed to diagnose or treat digestive conditions. It may not be the right choice if you:
- Are looking for personalised medical advice, diagnosis or treatment for a specific health condition
- Want a quick fix or a rigid programme rather than practical, gradual lifestyle changes
- Prefer a fully personalised plan instead of a self-paced educational guide
- Are seeking treatment for a diagnosed gut and digestive disorder or persistent, unexplained symptoms that require professional assessment
It is also for people who have accumulated plenty of digestive-health advice but are still wondering:
Where do I actually begin?
Start with the Self-Check. Identify your priorities. Choose a few meaningful changes. Observe what happens. That is The Naturimedica’s Way: See the Whole Person. Build Strong Foundations. Live Well.

Continue Your Better Digestion Journey
Sam Bell –
I found this guide genuinely useful, particularly because it looks at digestion as a whole system rather than treating individual symptoms in isolation. It gave me a much better understanding of how the different stages of digestion connect, and how things like eating habits, hydration, movement, stress and sleep can all contribute to digestive health.
I particularly liked how the guide continually brings the information back to practical action “what can I actually do?” The self-checks and 14-day reset make the content much more actionable, while the workbook elements encourage you to engage with the material rather than simply read it.
The infographics are also excellent – clear, well laid out and helpful for making some of the more complex information easier to understand.
Overall, I would recommend this guide to anyone who wants to understand the ‘why’ behind digestive health while also having practical things they can experiment with and incorporate into their everyday routine. A really comprehensive and thoughtfully put-together resource.
Joanna Sochan –
Thank you Sam for your thoughtfull feedback! I’m happy you found it clear, useful and educational.

The self-administered questionnaires present opportunity to chart individual progress with measurable outcomes. Mira –
I don’t have major digestive problems, but I found this a fascinating and very practical explanation of how digestion works and what supports it. I learned things I hadn’t previously considered, particularly around meal timing, stress and daily rhythms. It is a useful resource to keep and refer back to.
Joanna Sochan –
Thank you for posting a review of the digestive guide. I enjoyed putting together the strategies, steps and practical tips I learnt during my 15-year career as a Wholistic Naturopath, for the readers to implement them gradually in a step-by-step fashion. It was designed as a self-help guide that can be used by most people to improve gut health. Please get in touch if you need any assistance in implementing any steps or strategies.
